I was nominated by the lovely Lauren from beautyfashionlauren and Laura at pureallure so big thank you to them and sorry it has taken me so long! I'm going to answer both of their questions so lets do that now!

Lauren's Questions
If you had to eat one thing for the rest of your life, what would it be?
I honestly have no idea there's so much, I do love frozen yogurt... probably frozen yogurt but with a massive range of toppings mmm yeah.
Biggest fear?
Everything. I'm literally scared of everything. Seriously.

What inspires you?
Wow big question. Everything really. People, songs, books, places, situations. I get inspired by everything and anything.
Favourite high street clothing store?
Hmmm, probably H&M. It can pretty hit and miss but when I look in my wardrobe most of my favourite things are from H&M and I think its all really good value for price, especially dress! AND things there tend to always fit me really well which is rare for me.
Lazy days or nights out?
It depends really. I do love having really lazy days, especially days with my best friends where all we do is eat. But then again I love going out with my friends to battle of the bands (I seem to have many friends who are in bands) and they're always really really good nights out. So both!
Books that you couldn't put down?
There have been loads! The fault in our stars I think I read in like 2 days, then re-read it instantly! Dr bird's advice for sad poets was amazing as well, at the moment I'm reading Just kids by Patti smith and I don't want it to end!
If you could relive any moment of your life, which would it be?
Another huuuuge question. I'm going to pick a few and they're going to be from 2013 instead of my whole life because that's just too big for me ahaha. But hmm Lewis Watson gigs because I loved being in his presence, Gabrielle Aplin gig, Kodaline gig, the whole of summer with my best friends, Yarm fair with my friends, battle of the bands with my friends, ahhh idk EVERY MOMENT!
Favourite blog?
BIG QUESTION!I like a city beyond the sea, grace and braver, but also my best friend Chloe's blog She's an anti-socialite is fab.
If you were stranded on a desert island, what 5 things would you bring with you?
I would bring wifi, my ipod, leonard Cohen's book of longing, an unlimited supply of whipped cream, and a notepad (with a pen/pencil) I think I'd love life on my little island. Wait, can I bring all my friends as well?!
Favourite style icons?
I have so many and they change constantly! My mains are definitely the Haim sisters (duh), Alexa Chung and Gabrielle Aplin.
All time favourite dessert?
All of them.
Laura's Questions
How are you today?
What's the best piece of advice or quote you've ever heard?
Wow I'm not sure there has been a lot. Probably "The absence of evidence isn't necessarily the evidence of absence." My friend said that to me about two years ago when we were taking about fate and its just stuck with me. It reminds me that just because you cant see something, doesn't mean its not happening. So even if I cant see myself growing or something working out or whatever, doesn't mean I'm not. I really want that quote as a tattoo when I turn 18 I love it so much.
What's your favourite song right now?
I will never ever be able to answer that question as I always have too many songs I love. But I can tell you what I'm listening to right now and that's Days by The Drums.
Do you ever want to have kids?
I was talking about this with one of my friends the other day actually! Yes I would like to have kids, I personally feel like my life would be incomplete if I don't have a family one day. I would like two girls I think so I can take them shopping and dress them up as fairies ahaha.
If you had unlimited money what would you do with it?
I don't think I'd buy anything massive, but I just wouldn't worry. If I liked something I would just buy it.
What's your biggest fear?
I've already answered this ahhh
Do you have a hidden talent? If so, what?
I sadly don't have a hidden talent but here's a video of a kid squirting milk out of his eyes but then his nose bleeds. enjoy xox
What is something you couldn't live without?
8tracks. I'm addicted. And food, and my friends...but mainly 8tracks.
Do you prefer summer or winter? Why?
Summer I think as there's just more freedom and my outfits seems to be way better in summer, and I like to hang out with my friendz.
What's your favourite thing in your wardrobe?
At the moment its probably this green jumper from H&M which is pretty dull but I cant stop wearing it, its so cosyyyy!

What's your favourite shop?
I've already answered this as wellll!
That's all the questions over phewww!

OOTD-Day To Night & A Lil Effy Stonem Tutorial...

I've been on the hunt for a smock dress that actually fits me for agesss and my mum came home one day with my dream in a bag, and it was only £10! GO MUM! So as I'm lacking in ideas and originality I thought I'd just show you how I style it from day to night, and throw in a lil effy from skins inspired tutorial for you!

I plan on wearing this dress 24/7 as I love everything about it. The material is so lovely, the colour is super grungy and I like that, and its fits like a dream! Such a good bargain for £10!

Sleek face form palette
freederm perfecting moisturiser
ysl le teint touché éclat
rimmel stay matte power
Clinique gentle light powder
collection lasting perfection concealer
model co illusion lip liner
rimmel professional eyebrow pencil

I started off the day by applying my everyday makeup keeping it light and fresh faced with a subtle contour just to shape my face a little. When I wear dark colours I like to keep my face very light and almost dewy and the ysl foundation is perfect for that.

Collection "does it all" mascara
topshop cream blush in "flush"
topshop lipstick in "innocent"

Then extras I added for this look included a little blush just to add a rosy glow to my cheeks and also sculpt my face a little more. Then I applied lots of mascara to make my eyes look nice and big, then a nude/pink lipstick for a soft girly finish and added cuteness duh.

And that's basically the day look!

 On to the night!

I've been watching skins religiously and I'm in love with effy's look. Her hair, her clothes and her makeup are all so perfect and I've been try my hardest to recreate it and this is the best I can do!

I think it's nice to add a little extra for the night if you have a party or somewhere to go or just want to feel sassy! Whether it's eyeshadow or lipstick or whatever floats your boat its always nice to feel magical! So here's a quick little tutorial for an effy inspired smokey eye for you!

What you need-
A palette that include a range of black/grey colours (I have no idea where this one is from sorry)
a whole load of brushes (mine are cath kidston)
an angled brush (mine is H&M)
A really creamy eyeliner (mine is avon)
and a mascara (mines collection)
First you want to cover your whole I lid in a shimmery nude colour to create a light base to soften the look a little.

Then using a black (matte or shimmery its up to you) smudge the colour into your crease and through your socket line gradually building up colour and winging it out and blending until you're happy.

Next use an angled brush and a matte black I eye shadow to loosely line my top lashes. Then use a creamy eye shadow to line your bottom lash line and waterline, and your tight line, then blend this to make it messier. After doing this go back in with your black eye shadow and make sure it's exactly how you want it. I also like to add a little bit of grey/silver shadow cause why not!

And that's about it!

I really like this look as its not too in your face or bold but just add a bit of depth to your night look! And honestly I'd probably wear this in the day as well so woo!

I think that's it! First ootd of 2014 ooo, what have you been wearing lately?!

Remember to follow me on twitter and instagram to keep up with my daily shenanigans!
Have a lovely lovely day

2013 Favourites...

Its officially 2014, how scary is that! I hope you all had an amazing new years eve and have all stopped writing 2013 hand having to attempt to change the 3 into a 4 (I haven't)

Just as all other bloggers/vloggers have been doing I'm going to do my 2013 favourites as I think it's a nice way to round off the year and move on. However the trouble is that I hardly remember last week let alone the beginning of 2013! So here are the favourites I can remember!
I haven't taken this off since I got them (not literal), they go with everything, give my a little height boost which seems too totally elongate and slim my legs, and they're ridiculously comfy! Such a good investment.

My joni jeans, ahhh the comfort. I wear these all the time and I still love them. However as the years gone on they have stretched a lot and loosened so I may have to repurchase. Still so lovely though!

My trusty denim pinafore oh how I love you. This is always my go to for everything, especially concerts because of the deep pockets which you can literally fit everything in. And it seems to go with everything and is such a good length on me.

My beautiful h&m coat. I genuinely look forward to putting this on as it fits me so perfectly, the colour is beautiful and it makes me feel fab. It was only £35 and I think it fits and feels so much nicer than the topshop ones which are like £60 plus. I've been recommending this to everyone!
By the end of summer these shoes were a mess as I had been wearing them literally every day. But I really hope primark have them again this summer as they were so ideal and comfy while still looking amaaazing.

Wonderstruck has been like my natural scent throughout 2013, like I want to bathe in it. It smells so good not like how tacky most celebrity perfumes smell. Its so sweet and fresh without being too strong. Just right!

I HAVE FOUND A FOUNDATION PALE ENOUGH PRAISE! I need to invest in a big bottle of this because I love everything about it, the coverage, the colour, the long lasting, illuminating effect. Its just so lovely!

Every blogger and their aunty has this concealer, because its just so dang good!

I don't know how I lived before this?! I've hit pan on the highlighter as I love the way it lights my face up, and the contour colour is so subtle but has such a big effect on my face I looove it!

I think topshop lipsticks are massively underrated. The pigmentation and colour pay off is incredible, so is the staying power and they all have such a nice finish. I'm gradually building a little family of them, with innocent (a pinky/nude), infrared (a red/orange) and beguiled (a wine red). I definitely recommend topshop lipsticks as they are so lovely to wear and there is such a wide range of colours.
Until the start of 2013 I never filled in my eyebrows, and that thought sickens me. I bought a rimmel eyebrow pencil and it changed my life.

2013 was officially the year I mastered eyeliner. I like how much winged liner changes my face and its now my go-to and pretty much my everyday school look.

Theres been so much good music I cant even start to explain. I'm hopelessly devoted to 8tracks so I heard like 10 good songs a minute and only seem to remember like 2 of them! But some of my favourite albums this year include-
  • Where the heaven are we-swim deep
  • in a perfect world-kodaline
  • English rain-gabrielle aplin
  • days are gone-haim
  • the 1975-the 1975
  • bad blood-bastille
  • long way down-tom odell
  • am-arctic monkeys
  • trouble will find me-the national
  • if you leave-daughter
  • birthdays-Keaton Henson
And so much more!

I read so many good books in 2013, cant wait to read more!

Throughout 2013 I wrote down all the good memories and things that happened on pieces of paper and put them in a jar. And now I've stuck them all into this scrapbook and its so nice to be able to read though all my memories.

HENNNNNAAAAA! I love this stuff, its like a temporary tattoo that you draw on so I constantly have quotes and stuff on my ankle etc. I was covered in this in summer!

My favourite day of the month is company mag day, and I'm so happy I'm continuing my subscription because my favourite people in the world are on the cover this month!

And that's about it! What are your 2013 favourites?!

Have a lovely lovely day
