Weather dependant...

SO!

England is weird. In a week its gone from being so so so warm that I saw people in shorts and crop tops, to being finger numbingly cold. WHY?! not only is it a cruel tease about how far away summer is, but its annoying when trying to pick outfits! like what do you wear? t-shirt? jumper? snowsuit?

Therefore (fancy word, A* lucy) I've been relying on my layering skills to help me through until England will make up its mind and hopefully decide to be warm! Here's a few little tips and outfits and stuff for you!

Plaid shirt-Primark I think
So at the start of this week I could get away with just wearing a crop top and shirt so I added my flower crown to add some summer vibes and also cause it looks dang cute! I think a baggy shirt, whether it be plaid or just any old thing, is a super easy way of layering up, giving a little extra warmth but not totally smothering your outfit. I liked the effect it added to this outfit just thrown over a band t-shirt, ridiculously casual but I still really like it.

Oh and you can find the rivets at these places so make sure to follow/subscribe/like them cause they're amazing!-

Another easy way of layering which I think gets neglected, is putting a cute shirt under a dress. Its much much easier to do with a baggy smock dress as you can tell the shirt is there so it just looks like a pretty collar but it adds so much warmth and you don't have to put something over your dress, BONUS! With this particular colour scheme of like dark greys I would wear skin colour tights as I think with black tights you risk looking too covered up, if that's even possible! So I would swap black tights for woolly socks and boots for when you go out. I really like this outfit so cute!

Shirt as before-Topshop
Jumper-H&M
Skirt-Topshop
Socks-same as before
This is probably the easiest, most simple look. The classic "oh I'll just throw on this conveniently cropped, perfectly coloured jumper, no biggie" I like how the green of this jumper matches like everything, I wouldn't have expected it to but the colour is so versatile and its super cosy! This is an easy go to as it looks good with or without the jumper so if the weather suddenly improves you can easily just whip it off and still look fab. You can wear tights with this outfit as well of course, I just couldn't be bothered.

Leather jacket-Oxfam, originally topshop.

A lighter jacket is a must for this see-saw season. And I've been after a leather jacket for so long and I finally found this beauty in Oxfam. It adds an edgier touch to any outfit so I can just throw it over anything. I especially liked it with the skirt/jumper look as it kinda off-set the girly look with a little toughness. A leather or a denim jacket is always good as it adds a layer of warmth without looking too heavy cause the worst thing is putting together an amazing outfit and then having to cover the whole thing with a stupid heavy coat. But if you get your layering skills on point, you can use your layers to just add more and more to an outfit. Keep textures and patterns in mind if you want to make it a little fancy and fabulous.

I think that's about it! I've got quite a few blog ideas so hopefully I'll be around more in between revision and crying over revision. Follow me on twitter and instagram to keep up with my daily adventures and we can be besties.

Hope you're all doing well and have a lovely lovely day

Faves atm...

SO!

WOW its lucy and she's alive wowwww! Sorry sorry its been too long I know but its getting near exam season, like 7 weeks guys im scared, so so so so scared! I'm probably going to be very unreliable the next couple months because of exams/revision/crying but I'll try my best to post as much as I can!

Annnyways, I thought I would share some of my favourites atm and things I've been really loving lately so here ya go!

dress-TK max-£15
This dress is a dream in material. I'm obsessed with these smock dresses and every time I go in topshop I want to cry over the beautiful and the price tag and it just kills me a lil inside. BUT THEN! I wandered into tk max one day, I think my mum was looking for some kitchen thing idk and then in the order of my eye I saw this dress and It was love at first sight!

It fits so well and the material is so nice, and how dang cute is that daisy print?! I love it.

Wonderstruck-£37.50(I think)
This is my second bottle of wonderstruck and it wont be my last. I cant get enough of this stuff! Most celeb perfumes smell so chemically and ew but not this one. I love that it's got a really fruity scent rather than being so floral that you feel like you've been punched in the face with a rose. It's a really girly perfume but not too overpowering which is exactly what I like. Oh and the bottle is beautiful! GO TAYLOR!

Beaded heart-Max ollie and me
butterfly garland-pretty twisted
Lately I've fallen in love with my room again. My favourite part is definitely the wall behind my bed with all my photo frames and concert tickets and butterflies cuuuute! I recently (well in January) put up a washing line of all my favourite photos from 2012 that I just pegged on with paper clips. And then I finally put something in this cute floral photo frame, and I just put a cinema ticket in it cause it looks cute and reminds me of my boyfriend aw cringe. I just like my room a lot and especially this part as it reminds me of loads of good memories and makes me happy yay!

Collection "does it all" mascara-£4.99
This mascara. Its a miracle. It really does do it all! Its super lengthening and volumising and lovely to apply and makes my eyes look like moons which is the look I'm always going for! The only problem is that its quite a wet formula and if you're the type of person that likes to apply loooads of coats, this probably isn't for you as if you rub your eyes its like BOOM panda so you have to be a little careful. But overall, probably the best mascara I've used in a loooong time and its cheap so bonus!

Clinique gentle light powder-03 glow
I feel like my makeup isn't complete without highlighter as I think it makes me look so much more awake. I like this one as it looks super natural so you can avoid the disco ball issue (never a good look). If I look ridiculously tired and zombie like, so basically every school day, I use this as a general power on my under eyes just to illuminate my dark circles and make me look less dead. I'm not too sure if you can still get this, but if you can I definitely recommend it!

tea tree skin clearing toner-body shop-£5
I've started using this again as I saw a youtuber talk about it and I was like "meh I'll give it a second chance" and I'm really glad I did! I've been using it on a morning and a night before moisturising and I think its actually helping my skins so wooo!

dirty works the cream cream body butter
I'm pretty sure that this was my sisters so sorry for stealing your stuff while you're at uni sarah x But this stuff is far too nice to leave in a cupboard. Its really thick and creamy and lovely but doesn't leave your skin feeling all sticky and ew which I HATE! oh and it smells amaaazing!

Whittards lychee&mango tea-£5
I don't even like tea but you all know that I'm addicted to whittard's tea! I decided to take a break from my usual peach flavour and go a little more exotic and oh my. I got this like 2 weeks ago and its almost gone. If you haven't tried one of these teas yet, GO NOW GO!

Penn state pretzels
I cant stop eating these and its terrible but guys I love pretzels so much. that's all I have to say.

I've been getting back into playing my guitar and singing lately, its a really nice way to relax afer revising. If you wanna hear me sing you can hope over to my soundcloud im not very good lol

if you aren't watching are you the one you are SOOOOOO missing out! 10 single girls, and 10 single boys in a house all looking for their "perfect match" aka arguments, cat fights and lots of flirting. PERFECT!

Yes he deserves three pictures with a face like that.
My mad fat diary is back so that means FINN FINN FINN FINN FINN FINN FINN. wow how does someone gain a face like that?! But seriously I love this show so so much, and this series is emotional!

The London grammar album and lorde's album have been on repeat. They're both so dreamy and make me feel like I'm floating.

Cardi-Super old from primark

(cat face to cover the ugly)
I loved this outfit I wore last weekend. It was super cosy while still being cute. I hadn't worn my choker in ages and now I'm addicted to them again, I reaally want a tattoo choker, I must invest. Oh and my boyfriend stole my sun choker so that's gr8 thanks Chris x

And that's it! I'm so tired right now so sorry that this post just got weirder and made less and less sense as it went on!

Hope you're all well,
have a lovely lovely day
