My Everyday Summer Makeup Routine...

My makeup routine has changed a bit over summer since I got a bit of a tan for once! So I thought I'd share what my everyday makeup routine has been looking like recently.

concealers used-
No7 concealer in Calico
collection lasting perfection concealer in 01 fair

real techniques expert face brush

After using a toner and a moisturiser I apply my concealer. I recently got a new concealer from no7, its in a stick form so its a lot dryer which I'm finding a lot better as the weather is warmer so my skin feels less greasy and ew. So I used the no7 concealer on blemishes and then my collection concealer under my eyes and any areas I want to highlight as its a lighter shade so helps brighten up my face and hide the fact I hardly sleep in summer. I used my real techniques expert face brush to blend it all in.
Body shop "honey bronze" bronzing gel

This is a new addition to my routine. I'm loving this body shop bronzing gel! It looks so natural and makes my skin look so glowing and healthy. I just dot it along in the hollows of my cheeks to define my cheekbones slightly and then up to my temples and a tiny bit on my forehead to bronze me up a little. Its so easy to blend a layer up, ahh its just perfect! And it smells like honey so BONUS.

Rimmel professional eyebrow pencil in dark brown
I still do the same eyebrow routine. Brushing my brows up, filling in any areas with a pencil, then using a matte brown eye shadow for a little extra help on the front of my brows. Then I use a clear mascara to set them in place and that's it!

rimmel stay matte powder
sleek face form palette
avon brush
Next I go back and powder my whole face with my rimmel powder to set my concealer and gel bronzer. Then to define my cheekbones a little more I use the matte bronzer from the sleep face form palette over the top of the other bronzer. and then I use the highlighter on the tops of my cheekbones, down my nose, my cupids bow and a little on my forehead.

MUA "tranquil" eye shadow from the undress me too palette
I just use my finger to apply this eye shadow all over my lid. its a really pretty, subtle bronze colour that I think just warms up my face and adds a pop of colour to my eyes.

lash curlers-idk
collection does it all waterproof
Clinique high length
I curl my eyelashes to really open up my eyes. The I use the collection mascara on my top lashes. If i feel like it, then i sometimes use a black eyeliner pencil to line my upper lash line. I use the Clinique mascara on my bottom lashes to get slightly spidery, twiggy-ish lashes.

And that's it. Sometimes i'll apply a little lipstick, but most days I've just been keeping my makeup really natural and glowy. Super simple!

What have you been doing different this summer?

Hope you have a lovely lovely day

Brief Break...

I know I said "oh yeah once my exams are over I'll blog waay more" but yeaaah sorry that hasn't happened because I've managed to be both very lazy and very busy at the same time. Meaning that I'm either out and cannot blog, or I'm home and I cannot move from my bed.

But last week I had a little family holiday/weekend away and I thought I would share it with you! LETS GO!

So my mama, my papa and my sis got into the car and drove for like 3 and a half hours. During this time I listening to a lot of music, and had to try my very best to not sing out loud to the wicked soundtrack.

We finally arrived at our destination-NOTTINGHAM! We checked into our hotel then went for a walk. We walked past this canal area and I got massive fault in our stars feels.
it was emotes.

We then walked around the university for a bit as I'm attempting to set myself a "grade goal" for my A-levels (help) and Nottingham uni is like my "aim". Its so nice and it has a starbucks on site woo bonus!

That evening we went to castle gardens for a performance of a midsummer nights dream which I'm studying next year and I loooveee! The performance was amazing and I love the play, I heart Shakespeare!

Here I am being overly smiley because I heart Nottingham. Even though I was there for only 24 hours I managed to totally all in love. Its such a random city, its so beautiful and practical at the same time. And shopping there is a dream, it has everything you could possibly want! I'm really hoping to return soon.

The next day I feasted on an all you can eat breakfast, did a finally walk into Nottingham for some shopping. Then we jumped back in the car and drove to the HARRY POTTER STUDIO TOUR (omg) I was obscenely excited.
lucy in her natural habitat
we had aaages to wait before our tour so we sat in the cafĂ© (best soup ever) and then I had another starbucks (duh) before we got to go in.

Me and my sister got over excited about badges and basically about everything. it was gr8

RIP Dobby:'(

the whole thing was magical. I tried butterbeer and didn't know how to feel about it (it was both amazing and gross at the same time?!) I saw Hogwarts, I flew on a broomstick and I ran around the best gift shop I've ever seen for about an hour (in the end I only bought some harry potter glasses for my boyfriend and some temporary tattoos for me (really))

The next day we stopped by my mum's hometown and then started the looong journey home.

It was a lovely break, even if it was only for 2 and a half days.

Where are you going this summer? or if you're just staying home, where would you like to go?

hope you're all doing well!
have a lovely lovely day
